Celtic Weave Pillow Crochet Pattern
The Celtic Weave Pillow crochet pattern creates a beautiful piece of home decor!
I created this pillow cover because I was in love with the Celtic Weave crochet stitch and wanted to make anything and everything with it! I ended up gifting my first sample to my mother for Christmas, and she still uses it as decor in her home to this day!
The beautiful post stitches of the Celtic Weave stitch give this pillow a gorgeous and unique look!
Pattern Details
This pattern calls for worsted weight (#4) yarn. I used Caron Simply Soft for my sample, pictured above.
You will need 472-500 yards of yarn, depending on which size you decide to make.
The pattern comes with instructions for 2 sizes, a small pillow and a larger pillow.
This pattern is rated intermediate in difficulty level. Be sure to check out my Celtic Weave Stitch tutorial to learn how to work the stitches. I am left-handed, but the steps will be exactly the same if you are right-handed.
There is also a photo tutorial included in the pattern if you find following photos easier than video.
The pillow cover is stitched together around the pillow base, so you won’t be able to take if off the base once it is put on. The yarn is, however, machine washable so you can throw the entire pillow in the wash if you’d like.
Once I’ve washed my crocheted items, I usually lay them out to dry instead of using the dryer.
