The Lacy Top is just that! A lacy summer crochet top you’ll love to wear! This lacy summer crochet top can be styled with shorts or jeans or even a skirt!
Pattern Inspiration
I first created the Lacy Scarf with this stitch combo and loved it so much I wanted to make a top for it!
The stitch is a combination of chains and double crochet stitches that create a sort of diamond shape in between.
I also wanted to make a v-neck style top and so I decided to give it a try with this one.
Instead of trying to create the neckline in one piece, I opted to create this top using two rectangles sewn together. For the front rectangle I used a combination of the stitches used and decreases to create the v neckline.
The fun thing about this top is that it can also be made without the v neckline! You can just made two rectangular panels without the shaping for a completely different look!
Pattern Details
This summer crochet top pattern calls for sport (#2) weight yarn. Galileo from WeCrochet is used for the sample pictured. The colorway is called Calliope.
Galileo yarn is a beautiful sport weight yarn made of 50% merino wool and 50% viscose from bamboo. It is soft and vibrant! There are 12 colorways for you to choose from.
Please note that this yarn does need to be hand washed and laid flat to dry. For more tips check out my post on Caring for Your Crochet Garments.
The pattern is rated Intermediate in pattern difficulty. You need to know basic crochet stitches as well as how to join pieces of crochet work together.
There is a photo tutorial included for the shaping of the neckline.
Some knowledge on Crocheting Garments will also be helpful.
The Lacy Summer Crochet Top pattern comes with instructions for women’s sizes XS to 2X. The pattern does, however, included the multiples that the stitch combo is worked in so you can make it any size you prefer.
