Cleopatra Tank Crochet Pattern

So, funny story, the Cleopatra Tank was not something I had planned to make. I usually have a running list of designs I have ideas for and want to create but the Cleopatra was not one of them. I sat down with my yarn, intending to design a completely different top! Instead I came up with this design and fell head over heels in love with it! I love how our minds create sometimes! Don’t you?

Pattern Details

The Cleopatra Tank is made with lightweight DK yarn. I used Lion Brand Yarn Coboo yarn.

I am a huge fan of this yarn! It is a cotton/bamboo blend, making very soft and lightweight. It also has amazing stitch definition. I loved how the herringbone double crochet stitch looked with this yarn! It was such a nice texture!

The pattern comes in both children’s sizes and adult sizes, so you don’t have to purchase two patterns. The children’s sizes range from 2 to 10 and the adult sizes come in XS-2X.The pattern is rated Intermediate on the difficulty scale. Check out my tutorial if you don’t know how to do the Herringbone double crochet stitch.

It is a top down project with no sewing needed. You will work in a continuous round the entire length of the tank. The tank also has a simple trim at the bottom to match the top.

The Cleopatra Tank is versatile and customizable. Many of my testers also made this in self-striping yarn! You can totally make it your own style!
