The Amelia Earwarmer was my very first pattern! It was published on Ravelry way back in February 2014! I am now offering it here on my blog!

  •  One skein or less of #5 weight bulky yarn or 2 strands of #4 worsted weight yarn held together.
  • Size P hook
  • 2 large buttons (large enough to fit very snuggly in between stitches of the wrap) – I used 1.5” buttons.
  • Measuring tape  Darning needle for weaving in endsDifficulty
  • Beginner

Not necessary – size is determined by desired length

  • Toddler (1-3 years) – 18-20”
  • Child (3-10 years)- 19-20.5”
  • Adult – 20-22”

Pattern Notes
For most accurate fit measure the person the head wrap will be for around the head at the forehead. Then chain until it reaches 1” less than the head circumference, slightly stretched.

Stitches Needed
sc-single crochet
dc- double crochet
ch- chain

Row 1: Ch to 1” less than desired length, slightly stretched.

Row 2: Dc in 3rd chain from the hook and continue to DC across to the last stitch.

Row 3: Ch 2, turn (counts as 1st), dc in the next st and continue to dc across to the last stitch.

Row 4: Ch 2, turn (counts as 1st), dc in the next st and continue to dc across to last stitch.

Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st as ch 1 and continue to sc across to the last stitch.

Now sc down the side of the earwarmer, across the bottom, and back up the other side, working 2 sc in each corner. Join to first sc. Finish off.
Sew buttons on to one end, one above the other, as pictured below.
Weave in remaining ends.
Buttons should snuggly slip in between DC stitches to attach the ends to each other around person’s head.

But the end result of this bag was just magnificent! I was so proud and excited!

You can grab a copy of the Savannah Handbag crochet pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy for 50% off through 6/15/18! No code is needed! Enjoy!

Pattern Notes

Starting lch does not count as first stitch.

You can do your sweater in any color combo you like or in one solid color. I chose to do a color block combo. I did the first two colors for 12 rows each and the last color for 24 rows.

Rectangles are worked from the top down, so place colors accordingly if working with multiple colors.

Pattern is written in size XS with additional sizes in parentheses, with stitch count for all sizes in parentheses at the end of each row.

Stitches Needed & Abbreviations

st(s)- stitch(es)

lch- long chain (pull up loop the length of a dc and then ch 1)

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

Rectangle (Make 2)

Ch 58 (65, 72, 79, 86, 93)

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and across. (56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91)

Row 2: Lch, turn, 1 dc in each st across. (56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91)

Repeat row 2 until rectangle is 24” or desired length. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Sewing Rectangles Together

stash buster sweater

Take your two rectangles and lay them on top of each other.

Pin where you plan to sew to make it easier to sew together. Pin and sew the top, leaving a 20” around hole in the middle for your head to go through (10” laid flat). For the sides, leave at least 12 rows on the top unsewn for your armholes and sew the rest of the way down until you get to the last 4 rows. Leave those unsewn.

stash buster sweater

Armhole Trim

Join yarn to underarm of armhole, facing the right side of your sweater. Ch 1 and sc evenly around the armhole, keeping track of the number of stitches you do. Join to 1st st. Ch 1 and sc in each st around, join to 1st st. Fasten off. Do the same on the other side, using the same number of stitches you did on the first armhole.

Neckline Trim

Join yarn to corner of the neckline. Ch 1 and sc evenly around the neckline. Join to 1st st.

Fasten off. Weave in all ends. Block in needed.

New Pattern Release- The Cleopatra Tank!

So, funny story, the Cleopatra Tank was not something I had planned to make. I usually have a running list of designs I have ideas for and want to create but the Cleopatra was not one of them. I sat down with my yarn, intending to design a completely different top! Instead I came up with this design and fell head over heels in love with it! I love how our minds create sometimes! Don’t you?

The Cleopatra Tank is made with lightweight DK yarn. The pattern comes in both children’s sizes and adult sizes, so you don’t have to purchase two patterns. It is versatile and customizable. I made the one pictured and another with the top part in black and the bottom in gray. Many of my testers also made this in self-striping yarn! You can totally make it your own style!

The Cleopatra Tank crochet pattern is now available for purchase and is 50% off through Monday, April 23rd. No code is needed. The discount has already been applied. Grab your copy here:

New Pattern Release- The Heartbeat Hat

The Heartbeat Hat was published in the January 2018 edition of Happily Hooked Magazine! This hat takes a very simple stitch combo to create a fun and unique look! The color combo possibilities are endless with this one!

So the Heartbeat Hat crochet pattern is now available for purchase in my shop. It is 50% off through March 27, 2018! No code needed. Discount has already been applied!
