Crochet Earwarmer and Boot Cuffs Free Pattern

You get the instructions for how to make both the earwarmer and the boot cuffs in one easy to read pattern! The earwarmer comes in sizes toddler through adult. The boot cuffs come in sizes toddler to X-large! This set is great for every age!
The pattern calls for a worsted weight (#4) yarn. You’ll need approximately 300 yards or less for both pieces, depending on the size you make. This can be made as one solid color or in a few different colors. Here you see it pictured in a solid color, however, the pdf version of this pattern shows some different striping options to give it a different look each time.

Materials Needed
200-350 yards worsted weight (#4) yarn
Size I (5.5mm) hook or hook to obtain gauge
Measuring tape
Scissors

hdc- half double crochet
lhdc- long half double crochet – hdc over the ch 1 into the skipped stitch in the previous round.
dc- double crochet

Pattern Notes
Starting chain does not count in first stitch except for in round 2 for the Earwarmer and round 5 in the boot cuffs.
This pattern is very versatile with how you choose your colors. Use one color to just feature the texture, or use multiple colors to give it a completely different look!
Earwarmer
Toddler (18-20”)- ch 56 or work 56 chainless foundation sc
Child (20-21”)- ch 60 or work 60 chainless foundation sc
Teen/Small Adult (21-22”)- ch 66 or work 66 chainless foundation sc
Adult (22-23”)- ch 70 or work 70 chainless foundation sc
Being careful not to twist, join to first st. If you just chained, work 1 sc in each ch around, join. If you did a foundation sc row proceed to next step.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc and ch 1), skip next st, *dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st*, repeat around, join.
Round 3: Ch 1, lhdc over ch 1 from previous row into the skipped stitch, *ch 1, lhdc*, repeat around, join.
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each ch 1 space and stitch around, join.
Repeat rounds 2-4 three more times.
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, join.
Finish off. Weave in ends.
Boot Cuffs (make 2)
Toddler (7-9”) Ch 24
X-small (9-11”) Ch 30
Small (11-13”) Ch 38
Medium ( 13-16”) Ch 48
Large (17-19”) Ch 54
X-Large (19-21”) Ch 60
Being careful not to twist, join to first chain.
Round 1: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join.
Round 2-4: Repeat round 1.
Round 5: Ch 3 (counts as first dc and ch 1), skip next st,*dc in next, ch 1, skip next st*, repeat around, join.
Round 6: Ch 1, lhdc into the skipped stitch from the previous round, *ch 1, lhdc* repeat around, join.
Round 7: Ch 1, sc into each ch 1 space and stitch around, join.
