Summer time means trips to the farmers market, or to the library with the kids, and hopefully more crochet time! And what do you need for all of that?! A bag!
The Magnolia Market Bag is easy to make, easy to customize to your needs, and is just so beautiful when finished!
I made the original Magnolia Market Bag with Caron Cotton Cakes from Michael’s! It turned out even better than I expected!
Caron Cotton Cakes is a worsted weight (#4), self striping yarn that is just perfect for this bag! You can also use any other worsted weight cotton yarn you’d like!
For my next Magnolia Market Bag I used Peaches and Cream cotton yarn. It turned out just as beautiful! See the photos below!
This pattern is rated Easy in difficulty. You only need to know basic crochet stitches such as double crochet, single crochet, and chaining.
This bag is worked from the bottom up, with a mix of joined and continuous rounds.
You will need approximately 250-300 yards of worsted weight (#4) cotton yarn to create this bag. The size of the bag is 13″x 14″ laid flat, but it can easily be customized to be larger or smaller.
This crochet pattern is one of my best selling patterns! It is one of those projects that are just fun to make over and over again! These bags are so useful and are great for gifting or selling at markets and craft fairs!
