The Amelia Earwarmer was my very first published crochet pattern!
This easy crochet earwarmer pattern was published on Ravelry way back in February 2014! I am now offering it here on my blog for free!
Pattern Details
The Amelia Earwarmer is made with bulky (#5) weight yarn. I used WeCrochet Brava Bulky for my sample, pictured above.
Brava Bulky is a 100% premium acrylic yarn that is really soft and sturdy! This yarn comes in over 25 colors and can be machine washed and dried. It is a really nice bulky (#5) weight yarn at a great price! At 136 yards to a skein, you can get multiple toddler and child size earwarmers out of one skein!
This is a beginner friendly crochet pattern, using just single and double crochet stitches, and worked in rows. It’s easy to adjust and customize to your preferences.
You’ll need approximately 60 – 100 yards of yarn and 2 -1.25″ buttons to make this earwarmer.

I do not understand the last step. Now sc down the side of the earwarmer, across the bottom, and back up the other side, working 2 sc in each corner. Join to first sc. Finish off. ?????
You just sc around the entire piece to create a clean look all around.
In Row 2 after long DC do you make the first stitch in same stitch and it is counted as dc?
Yes, into the same stitch. The Lch is not counted but the first dc is.
