Woman wearing a dark pink crochet earwarmer, called the Autumn Earwarmer.

The Autumn Earwarmer is perfect for those chilly fall days when you need just a little extra layer!

Pattern Inspiration

I was inspired to create this fun crochet earwarmer because I wanted to design something quick and simple for last minute gifts or selling.

This crochet earwarmer takes less than 100 yards of DK (#3) weight yarn. It is such a quick project.

I went with the puff stitches and back loop stitches to give it a fun variety of texture.

Pattern Details

This crochet earwarmer pattern calls for DK (#3) yarn. You will only need around 80 yards or less for this earwarmer, so it makes a great stash buster!

I used WeCrochet Gloss DK for my earwarmers. This beautiful yarn is 70% merino wool and 30% silk. It is so soft and has a beautiful shine to it!

Gloss DK comes in a variety of beautiful colors too! I used the colorways Plume and Wharf for my earwarmers. Overall, I was so pleased with this yarn.

Some other yarn options for this crochet earwarmer are Andean Treasure (100% baby alpaca) and Swish DK (100% merino wool)

The pattern comes in three sizes: Toddler, Child, and Adult. The earwarmer is very stretchy and will stretch to fit just about any size. It is about 3.5″ wide for all sizes, but can easily be adjusted to fit your preferences.

This crochet earwarmer is worked in the round. It is rated easy in pattern difficulty.
