The Friendship Hat is a super cute beanie that is fun and fast to make! Use your favorite color combo to give this hat stripes, or make it in one solid color! It’s so versatile!
I used a combination of Caron Simply Soft and Knit Picks Chroma yarn, which are both worsted weight (#4) yarns. However, feel free to use any worsted weight (#4) yarn you’d like. Just be sure to check gauge!
Knit Picks Chroma is a gorgeous self striping yarn that comes in a variety of color combos. Although it does vary in thickness throughout the ball, I haven’t found it to be a problem in the items I’ve used it for.

I love this pattern and it’s use of some uncommon stitches. The pattern does not mention changing yarn, so it appears that the pattern is worked with 2 strands of worsted yarn held together throughout. Is this true? Thank you so much for making the pattern available!
No. The color changes happen every row. I added a note in the pattern notes section.
