A big thanks to KT and the Squid for providing the yarn for this design!

I am all about a good lightweight, flowy, summer crochet top and the Rosie Tee is no exception! This fun top is a raglan style tee with lacy sleeves and trim! It’s easily customizable and can be worn year round!

Pattern Inspiration

This summer I wanted to create a top with lacy sleeves! When I saw the colorway Caroline from KT and the Squid, I knew that was the color I wanted to make it in!

This beautiful rosy pink color was exactly what I envisioned for my design idea!

At first I wasn’t sure what stitch combos I was going to use for the lacy details on the sleeves, but decided on a simple dc shell combo.

I love the flowy sleeves and the matching trim at the bottom! This top turned out exactly how I pictured it!

Pattern Details

The Rosie Tee summer crochet top is made using fingering (#1) weight yarn. I used KT and the Squid hand dyed sock yarn. The colorway is called Caroline.

This yarn is made of 75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon. It is my favorite blend of sock yarn. I love how soft the merino is and how sturdy the nylon makes it!

Some alternative yarns that would work great for this top are WeCrochet Stroll or Lion Brand Yarn Amazing Lace.

This pattern is worked from the top down, in a raglan style yoke. The sleeves are created naturally as you work in the round. You will then work in the round to create the body of the top, and then add the trim at the end.

There is no sewing required! There is a straight seam down the back of the top from turning each round.

The Rosie Tee crochet pattern is rated Intermediate in pattern difficulty. You will need to know chainless foundation single crochet, double crochet, and chains. Having a bit of knowledge on crocheting garments will be helpful, but isn’t necessary.

This pattern comes in women’s sizes XS to 3X.

You can customize the length of this garment easily to fit your personal preferences.

  1. It sure is beautiful! The only thing I don’t like is that the armholes opening go too low. Not only the crocheted “fabric” bunches up which is not nice, but more importantly, the moment you stretch out your arms your whole bra will be showing. I wonder if there is a way to fix this.

    1. Of course you may suggest wearing another tank top underneath, but still there is the bunching of extra fabric and… where I live, summer is very hot, so wearing two layers is unthinkable.

      1. I’m not sure wearing this one without a tank top would work well, because it’s quite thin and a bit see through, but as far as the sleeves go you can sew the bottom of the sleeve together at the armpit to give it a slightly tighter fit and make it so nothing is showing.
