Frequently Asked Questions
Q? What is the best yarn for crochet handbags?
A. Any yarn will work for a handbag, but I prefer the sturdiness of a cotton blend yarn for my bags. The cotton provides the sturdiness while the other fabric content provides the drape and softness.
Q? Are crochet bags okay for every day use?
A. Yes, most are perfectly fine for every day use. Depending on the yarn fibers used, you will likely get some stretching with wear. I recommend checking gauge and washing your gauge swatch before starting to determine how the fabric holds up.
Q? Is this crochet pattern beginner friendly?
A. This pattern will be suitable for an adventurous beginner. You’ll find basic crochet stitches like single crochet and double crochet, and you may learn a few new stitches and techniques like the Magic Circle and puff stitch.

Pattern Notes
Pattern is worked in the round, joining to 1st st of each round. There will be a slight seam in the bag, but it will fall on the side of the bag and be barely noticeable once handle is added. You can also work in continuous rounds if you would like to.
Starting chain does not count as first st, unless stated otherwise within the pattern.
Bag can me made larger by working your dc rounds in multiples that are divisible by 4. (So your next size up would work to 100 sts, next size would be 120 sts, and so on.) To make the bag longer just add another repeat of rounds 11-17.
