I love a good project with lots of different stitches! It keeps my attention and I don’t get bored with it. When I created the Hattie Handbag, I made it with lots of fun stitches for just that reason. And then I was inspired to create more with these stitches!

So I designed the Hattie Hat, which has the same fun variety of stitches as the bag! You’ll find stitches like a puff stitch, single crochet, double crochet 2 together, and more.

This hat has a fun, slightly slouchy feel to it. It is a tad on the longer side, giving it just the slightest bit of slouch.

The Yarn

You’ll need a worsted (#4) weight yarn for this project. I used WeCrochet Mighty Stitch for mine. Mighty stitch is a super soft acrylic/wool blend. It can be machine washed and dried. It comes in many color and is perfect for hats, garments, and other accessories.

Some other great alternative yarns that I would recommend are WeCrochet Swish Worsted, Furls Wander Yarn, or Lion Brand Basic Stitch.
