The Katie Wrap is a simple, but beautiful rectangular crochet wrap! It is versatile and can be styled and used many ways! You’ll love to wear wrap this any time of year!

Pattern Details

The Katie Wrap is a rectangular crochet wrap measuring approximately 70″ x 20″.

This pattern calls for DK (#3) weight yarn. I used Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek DK for my wrap. It is a beautiful, soft yarn that comes in a ball of 478 yards! It is 100% low pill acrylic and comes in a nice variety of colors.

You will need approximately 1000-1255 yards of yarn, depending on the size you make your wrap. The pattern can easily be adjusted and has stitch multiples in the pattern notes section.

The Katie Wrap crochet pattern is rated Easy in pattern difficulty. It uses very basic crochet stitches like double crochet and single crochet.

1000-1255 yards DK (#3) weight yarn

H/8 (5.0mm) crochet hook

Scissors

Measuring Tape

Sizing

70” x 20”

Pattern Notes

Starting chain DOES count as first stitch.

Beginning chain is worked in multiples of 5 + 2.

To make the wrap wider or thinner, just do more or less rows than the pattern calls for.

Stitches Needed & Abbreviations

ch- chain

sc-single crochet

dc- double crochet

v-st- (dc, ch 1, dc)

**- repeat what is inside the symbols

Pattern

Ch 272.

Row 1: V-st in 3rd ch from hook, skip 2, 3 dc in next, * skip 2, v-st in next, skip 2, 3 dc in next*, repeat across to last 2 ch, skip 1, dc in last. (227 dc)

Row 2: Ch 3, (counts as 1st),turn, skip 1 dc, 3 dc in next, skip 2, v-st in next ch-1 space, *skip 2, 3 dc in next, skip 2, v-st in next ch-1 space*, repeat across, dc in top of ch 3.

Row 3: Ch 3, turn, skip 1 dc, v-st in ch-1 space, skip 2, 3 dc, * skip 2, v-st in ch-1 space, skip 2, 3 dc*, repeat across, dc in top of ch 3.

Rows 4- 35 (until 20” wide or desired width): Repeat rounds 2 and 3.

Trim

Round 1; Ch 1, 1 sc in each st, and ch space around entire wrap, working 2 sc in each corner, join to 1st st.

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around, working 2 sc in each corner, join to 1st st.

Round 3: Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in 1st st, * skip 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next*, repeat around, join to 1st st.

Finish off. Weave in ends.
