I don’t know about you, but I love a good sweater dress in the winter! They are just so comfortable and cute! I’m excited to share my newest crochet dress pattern, the Delaney Sweater Dress!
This crochet sweater dress pattern comes with instructions for women’s sizes XL – 5X and children’s sizes 2-12.
Pattern Inspiration
The Delaney Sweater Dress was inspired by my love for cool weather and cute fall outfits! I love to wear dresses, and I love how cute most sweater dresses are!
This crochet dress is worked from the top down in a circular yoke, and can easily be customized for your preferences!
I went with a simple circular yoke, giving the dress a modest neckline. The length is easily customizable and can be made any length you prefer.
The bishop or slightly puffed sleeves is one of my favorite features on this crochet dress. The long cuff on the sleeve gives it just a touch of flair!

Pattern Details
The Delaney Sweater Dress is made with sport #2 weight yarn. I used WeCrochet Brava Sport in the colorway Wine for my sample dress. Brava Sport is one of my all time favorite yarns! It is 100% acrylic.
The pattern is rated intermediate in pattern difficulty. There is a bit of increasing and decreasing to shape the garment. The herringbone double crochet stitch is the main stitch of the pattern.
This crochet dress pattern is size inclusive, with instructions for women’s XS to 5X.
Style
The great thing about sweater dresses is that they can be styled so many ways! I personally love to wear it with just boots! I know what you’re thinking….”but what do you wear under it?” Personally, I like to wear biker shorts underneath my crocheted dresses, but you can also do a slip or leggings!
Another great way to style this dress is with a big chunky belt around your waist. It will give it a little more shaping around the waistline and look stunning! I love to accessorize with jewelry also, and this scoop neckline is perfect for your favorite necklace!
