I had some leftover yarn after I finished the Vinnie Sweater, so I decided to design a matching hat with it!
This yarn, Swish DK from WeCrochet, is just a dream to work with! And I love the color combo! So I set off to make the matching Vinnie Hat crochet pattern!
Pattern Details
This easy crochet hat pattern is beginner friendly! It uses DK (#3) weight yarn in as many colors as you prefer. I used Swish DK yarn from WeCrochet for my hat. It’s a very soft superwash merino wool yarn that comes in a large variety of colors!
This hat is so versatile! You can make it with many colors, just a few colors, or all one color! It is worked from the bottom up, starting with the brim. You can add a pom or not, totally up to you!
The pattern comes in 4 sizes from toddler to adult. The crochet hat is made with negative ease and will stretch to fit. For a looser, more slouchy look, like the striped hat I’m wearing in the photos, go up a size.
It is rated easy in pattern difficulty and uses very basic crochet stitches.
Check out this step by step video tutorial if you’re looking for some visual aide with the pattern!
