Pattern Inspiration

I wanted to make a crochet version of a knotted tee. I wasn’t sure exactly how I was going to accomplish it, but I knew that was the look I wanted.

A fingering weight yarn was perfect for this project. Especially with the herringbone double crochet stitch. It was lightweight but not see through.

I decided on the ruffles on the sleeves at the very end of making this. I just wanted to add a little flare to the sleeves and I love how they turned out!

It is worked from the top down with no sewing required. I just love the slight ruffle of the sleeves! It gives it such a feminine touch!

Pattern Notes:

Pattern is in US terms.

Starting chain does not count as first stitch, unless stated otherwise within the pattern.

Sleeve instructions are worked in the smallest size with additional sizes in parentheses. Final stitch count for all sizes will be in parentheses at the end of each round.

I recommend blocking your project once it is completed. It will give it a softer feel and help the stitches loosen up.

If you decide to knot your tee, know that the stitches could be stretched and misshapen once the knot is taken out. Washing or blocking may help if you decide you want to wear it without the knot later.

The yoke will seem a bit gathered and ruffled as you work it but will smooth out as you complete the top.

What are the measurements for the women’s sizes? I can’t afford to keep buying patterns that don’t fit. ????

If you click the link to Ravelry or Etsy the actual listing has all the sizes and measurements.

  3. I’m just wondering is a worsted weight yarn always a # 4. You say a light weight worsted. Not sure what that means.

    1. Worsted is always #4 but some are lighter/thinner than others.
