The Celtic Weave Mini Slouch uses the Celtic weave crochet stitch to create a stunning hat! The Celtic Weave crochet stitch is probably my favorite stitch combo ever. It is so elegant looking! I have quite a few patterns that include this stitch combo. It is definitely an intermediate stitch but with a good tutorial and a little practice you will get it! I even have a Celtic Weave Crochet Stitch tutorial for you to use!
The Celtic Weave Mini Slouch crochet pattern uses a worsted weight yarn like Red Heart Soft or Knit Picks Brava Worsted. I love both of these yarns because they are soft and durable! They are both 100% acrylic and come in a nice variety of colors! Depending on the size you make you’ll just need 1-2 skeins of a main color and less than 1 skein of a contrasting color.
This crochet pattern is set to an intermediate skill level. You’ll need to know how to do post stitches, as well as working 2 stitches together.
It is a bottom up workup, with the trim and optional pom pom added at the end.
You can choose to do a braided, bonnet style trim or a traditional trim that goes all the way around that hat. The stitch combo may take some practice, especially if it is your first time, but it is well worth it! You will love the finished project!
