Where I live, the sun is out often and it is strong. I’m always looking for hats to put on to protect my face. The Bonnie Bell Sunhat is the perfect crochet sun hat pattern for that!
Pattern Details
The Bonnie Bell Sun Hat crochet pattern is a simple hat pattern that uses basic stitches like single crochet and double crochet.
It is worked from the top down and has a section of cross double crochet stitches in the middle. Then the brim is worked using single crochet and increasing.
This crochet sun hat pattern comes in 7 sizes, ranging from newborn to adult.
The Yarn
I used Lion Brand 24/7 yarn to create this crochet sun hat. This 100% mercerized cotton yarn is extra sturdy and great for hats, bags, and more!
This yarn has comes with a large variety of color choices. It can be machine washed and dried as well. It’s a really great 100% cotton yarn option.

Michelle, I made your hat as a quick project while on vacation. I made my brim 2 rows shorter and finished with a reverse single crochet edging. Such an easy make. Thanks for the pattern.
