Celtic Weave Tee Crochet Pattern

The Celtic Weave Tee crochet pattern is a gorgeous women’s crochet top with beautiful crochet cables down the front!

This crochet top uses the Celtic Weave Crochet Stitch. It is a combination of front and back post stitches that look like they are weaving in and out of each other. It is a beautiful stitch combo, and one of my favorites!

Pattern Details

The Yarn

The Celtic Weave Tee crochet pattern uses sport weight (#2) yarn. I used WeCrochet Brava Sport for my sample.

Brava Sport is one of my favorite sport weight yarns. It is 100% premium acrylic, soft, and sturdy. It comes in a large variety of colors and is very affordable.

I use this yarn for a number of my crochet patterns because it is lightweight and feels very comfortable against the skin.

It can be machine washed and dried. I recommend you check out my post on How to Care for Your Crocheted Garments before washing.

You will need 550 – 1400 yards of yarn, depending on which size you make.

The pattern comes with instructions for women’s sizes XS to 3X.

It is a top down workup style, with sleeves and trim added at the end.

It is rated intermediate in pattern difficulty. There is a link to a video tutorial for the Celtic Weave stitch in the pattern.

Garment is worked from the top down with trim and sleeves added at the end.

Neckline Trim

Join yarn to a stitch near the back of the neckline.

Ch 4

1.Sc in 2^nd ch from hook and across. (3)

2. Sl st in next 2 chs of neckline.

3. Ch 1, turn, sc in blo of each sc. (3)

4. Ch 1, turn, sc in blo of each st across. (3)

Repeat steps 2-4 all the way around the neckline. Join ends by working a sc into each starting ch. Fasten off.

Sleeves (work in both armholes)

(Sleeve instructions are written in size XS with additional sizes in parentheses as follows: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X). Final stitch count is all in parentheses at the end of the round.)

Join yarn to a stitch on the back stitch of the armhole facing the RS.
