About the Designer

Hi! I am Pamela. I am a wife and mom of four grown precious children, one girl, and three boys. I am also a blessed grandmother of three beautiful girls. 

I have been crocheting and knitting since I was about 8 years old. I learned the art through observing the women of my small village in Kenya crochet and knit. Crochet and Knitting, as many will attest, is my happy place. 

I love to design simple, modern, stylish, and comfortable garments and accessories for the family for busy moms who do not have time to read and follow an in-depth pattern. If you are looking for something you can make while waiting in line to pick up your child from school or without much concentration, then let’s turn that yarn to fashion together.

When I am not working on a design or at my full-time job, I love to spend time with family, travel, read, and most of all, go on mission trips. Special technique:

Magic ring: Holding yarn a few inches from the end, wrap around 2 fingers. Do not remove the wrap from the finger, insert the hook into the center of the wrap and draw up a loop of working yarn. Chain one stitch to secure loop and remove from fingers. Work around once in the pattern instructions and then pull the hanging yarn to tighten the ring

Notes:

Rounds are joined in the 3rd ch of the same row with a sl st, then sl st in next 2 sts and in ch-1 sp to start the next round.

Finishing All Sizes

• Fasten off and weave in ends.
• With the wrong side facing, put the 2 pieces together. 
• Measure the armhole as per measurements above or to fit and mark the spot. Sew and stop at the marked spot.
• Sew the shoulders together, leaving the neck opening as desired

Waist, neck and Sleeves

• Attach yarn at either shoulder seam for neck, under armhole seam for the sleeve, and either side for the waist.
• ch 1, sc in each st and ch with 3 sc in each ch-2 sp and 1 sc in ch-1 sp on all sides. Do not fasten off. 

• Ch 3, 2 dc in 1st st, sk 2, sl st in next st, *ch 3, 2 dc in last sl st, sk 2, sl st in next st, rep from * for around the neck, sleeves and waist.  
• Weave in the ends
