Rory Sleeveless Sweater Crochet Pattern

Thank you to LoveCrafts for supplying the yarn for the Rory Sweater Sleeveless Sweater!

I have wanted to design a crochet sleeveless sweater for about 2 years now! I absolutely love the look and style of a sleeveless sweater, as well as how versatile they are!

The timing finally worked out this year for me to design a sleeveless sweater and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out!

Pattern Details

This beautiful women’s crochet top is made with worsted weight (#4) yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran for my sample.

This yarn is so soft and sturdy and comes in a large variety of colors. It was so comfortable against my skin and had no snags in it at all. It was quite the dream yarn to crochet with!

The yarn is 100% acrylic and can be machine washed and dried (on low).

The construction of this sleeveless sweater is bottom up with the ribbed trim and cowl neckline added at the end.

This pattern comes in women’s sizes XS to 2X, with sizes 3X to 5X coming later this month!

The pattern difficulty is intermediate. However, an advanced beginner could crochet this pretty easily. The stitches are very basic and the construction is minimal.

I love to style my Rory Sleeveless Sweater with my favorite high-waisted jeans and give it a little front tuck for some flair!

I also love to wear my favorite denim jacket over it when it’s cool outside. This crochet top also looks great layered over a long sleeve shirt for colder weather!

I’ve also made a second one in a this gorgeous burnt orange color in WeCrochet Brava Worsted! The colorway is called Persimmon. It’s perfect for fall and looks great layered over a long sleeve tee.

  1. Beautiful design!!

This looks like a pattern I may want to try! I read about how the top is constructed; however, for my own understanding, does it mean the top is seamless with only working in the cowl and ribbing?

I would make one correction (“with” instead of “which”):

“This pattern comes in women’s sizes XS to 2X, which sizes 3X to 5X coming later this month.”

Lastly, because I have XS and 4X clients, would I have to purchase a second pattern? Thank you!

    1. Thank you! There is joining each round, so there will be a seam down the side of the top. If you purchase the pattern on Ravelry you will just get an update with the additional sizes. If you purchase on Etsy or LoveCrafts you will have to contact me for the additional sizes once they are out.
