The Fallon Cardigan is a men’s crochet cardigan pattern from my book Crochet Makes for Men. This book includes 12 modern and masculine crochet patterns for men. Included are patterns for both garments and accessories.
The garments are size inclusive, with instructions for 8 sizes, from Small to 5X. There are also 4 hat patterns, and 2 scarf patterns in the book. These patterns use simple stitches to create amazingly attractive menswear.

About Fallon
Nothing pulls together an outfit quite like a cardigan. A perfect layer of warmth and style is what the Fallon Cardigan brings. This comfortable and modern cardigan can be dressed up or down, while being both useful and on trend.
This men’s crochet cardigan features the herringbone half double crochet stitch throughout with a lovely ribbed time around the bottom, front, and sleeves. The buttons are added on the front trim for easy closure.
The cardigan is worked from the bottom up in one panel and split into three panels to create the armholes. It is then seamed at the shoulders with sleeves and trim added at the end.
The Yarn
For the Fallon Cardigan I used WeCrochet Brava Sport (#2) yarn. This is one of my favorite 100% acrylic yarns and I use it all the time for garments.
Brava Sport is a really soft yet durable yarn. It can be machine washed and dried. You’ll also find many colors to choose from in this collection!
Some other great sport weight yarns that would work for this men’s crochet cardigan pattern are:
Wool of the Andes Sport – 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
Heatherly Sport – 80% acrylic, 20% merino wool
Andean Treasure – 100% Baby Alpaca
Shine Sport – 60% pima cotton, 40% modal beech wood fiber
