The Derby Duster Vest crochet pattern is an easy project that creates a lightweight, flowy, and fun layering piece for your outfit!
This crochet vest is very versatile and can be made different lengths to suite your preferences. It can also be worn any time of year!
I love to wear mine over a tank top and jeans or my favorite maxi dress!
Pattern Details
The Yarn
The Derby Duster Vest crochet pattern calls for DK (#3) weight yarn. I used Yarn Bee Baby Bee Sweet Delight for my sample vest.
This yarn has a wonderful drape and feels so soft against the skin.
It is 60% acrylic and 40% polyamide. It can be machine washed and dried. Check out my post on Caring for Your Crocheted Garments for more information!
You will need approximately 978 to 1970 yards, depending on which size you make.
The pattern comes with instructions for women’s sizes XS to 3X. Measurements are from the hips.
This crochet vest is worked from the bottom up with chains that create the armholes.
The pattern is rated Easy in difficulty level. You will only need to know how to do basic crochet stitches to complete this project.
