Crochet Beanie Pattern called the Conan Beanie

The Conan Beanie is a men’s crochet beanie pattern from my book Crochet Makes for Men. This book includes 12 modern and masculine crochet patterns for men. Included are patterns for both garments and accessories. The garments are size inclusive, with instructions for 8 sizes, from Small to 5X. There are also 4 hat patterns, and 2 scarf patterns in the book. These patterns use simple stitches to create amazingly attractive menswear.

About Conan

The Conan Beanie crochet pattern is a beginner friendly, no frills, beanie. It uses just single crochet and single crochet decreases to create this cap. This crochet beanie is for those who just want something to keep their head warm in those cold winter months.

The pattern comes with instructions for 4 sizes from toddler to adult. It is worked from the bottom up and sinched together at the top to close. It can easily be adjusted to be a slouch hat. The hat has a negative ease to it and stretches to fit.

The Yarn

The Conan Beanie calls for sport weight (#2) yarn. I used Wool of the Andes Sport from WeCrochet. I wanted a nice wool, so that the hat would be warm and cozy. This yarn is 100% Peruvian highland wool and comes in a large number of colors.

Other yarns you could use for this project:

Brava Sport – 100% premium acrylic

Andean Treasure – 100% baby alpaca

High Desert Sport – 100% American wool
